Dixie Dental Center provides affordable denture and partial services in a relaxed and caring atmosphere. Our in-house dental lab allows us (in most cases) to offer one-day dentures, partials and repairs. We do everything humanly possible to provide you with a natural looking and comfortable set of dentures and/or partials. In most cases, we can offer oral conscious sedation for anxious patients. When we are not able to satisfy your needs, we can always refer you to one of our local dentists or oral surgeons. Your satisfaction is important to us. Dr. John Amburgey grew up in East Tennessee
receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He worked at the Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, AL before attending the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry at Memphis, TN receiving his DDS degree in 1979. He has 27 years experience in Removable Prosthetics Dentures and Partial Dentures)... with 25 of those years in Daphne, AL. He has worked for or managed Denture Centers in Jacksonville FL, Chattanooga and Franklin TN, Dothan, Montgomery and Evergreen AL. He opened Dixie Dental Center in Daphne in July of 1981.
Dr. Andy Nadarajan grew up in Madras, India and graduated from RMDC&H Dental College at Tamil Nadu, India. Following his Father, who was a Physician in the United States, Dr. Andy moved here in 1985. After receiving his DMD from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at Birmingham in 1989, he opened his own practice in the Tuscaloosa area operating for 10 years. He then worked in Eutaw, Alabama in a practice emphasizing removable dentures and partial dentures. His areas of interest are Immediate dentures and Dental implants.
Dr. Randle Wells is originally from Meridian, MS and graduated with a BS in Biology from Millsaps College in 1988. He then received his DDS from the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry in 1995. After two years as a Naval Dental Officer, he was in private practice in Tuscaloosa and Montevallo, Alabama before becoming commissioned in the United States Public Health Service. For five years, Dr. Wells worked in the Pacific Northwest in Public Health before returning to our area in 2005.
Dr. James R. Deatherage, graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1998. He has practiced general dentistry in Birmingham, Marion and LaFayette, Alabama. Dr. Deatherage now practices four days a week in Brewton, Alabama and at Dixie Dental Center each Thursday. After receiving his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1987, he worked as an electrical engineer for several years before returning to dental school. Dr. Deatherage is married and has two children. He served as an Officer in the United States Navy and Marine Corps. He enjoys hunting and fishing when he gets the chance.
Dr. Kenneth L. Ferguson grew up in Mobile receiving his undergraduate degree from Auburn University. He received his DMD degree in 1997 from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at Birmingham. He has been in private practice in Mobile for over 10 years. He joined Dixie Dental Center in March of 2008 to work on Fridays. He works Monday through Thursday in his private practice located at 5651 Three Notch Road in Mobile (Tillman's Corner area).
